Data4 expands in Poland with second data center near Warsaw

Data4 has inaugurated a second data center at its Jawczyce campus, near Warsaw, marking a new step in its expansion in Poland and reinforcing the country’s role in its European network.

Located in the municipality of Ożarów Mazowiecki, the new facility offers a capacity of 10 MW and supports the steady development of the campus, following the launch of a first building in 2023.

A growing investment in Poland

Data4 has already invested nearly €200 million in Poland and plans to increase this amount to around €600 million by 2030. The project is expected to generate approximately 400 direct and indirect jobs, supported by partnerships with local suppliers and close cooperation with regional stakeholders.

Rising demand for data capacity

The expansion comes as demand for computing power continues to surge, driven by cloud services and artificial intelligence. Poland’s total data center capacity is projected to grow from around 300 MW today to nearly 500 MW by 2030.

The Jawczyce campus, which spans 4 hectares, is expected to reach a total capacity of up to 60 MW, with around 50,000 sqm of built space, including 15,000 sqm dedicated to IT infrastructure.

Focus on performance and sustainability

The new building has achieved BREEAM “Excellent” certification, reflecting strong environmental performance. Its modular design—60% of which was prefabricated off-site—helped reduce construction time, limit emissions, and minimize the use of concrete.

Data4 aims to maintain a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) below 1.3 across its new sites, powered by 100% low-carbon energy. The first building on the campus already reports a PUE of 1.27, along with low water consumption.

Building resilience to climate change

The Jawczyce site is also part of the European Climate-Adapt4EOSC project, which focuses on anticipating the effects of climate change on critical infrastructure. The campus will serve as a testing ground for predictive tools assessing geotechnical risks, particularly those linked to clay soils.

Local engagement

Beyond infrastructure, Data4 is working closely with the local community in Ożarów Mazowiecki. Initiatives include the renovation of part of Przyparkowa Street, as well as support for local emergency services and community projects.

With this new facility, Data4 continues to expand its footprint across Europe, positioning data centers as key assets for economic competitiveness and technological sovereignty.
