DATA4 Group has appointed Jean-Paul Leglaive as Director of QHSE and Sustainable Development

DATA4, a major French operator and investor on the data center market, is appointing Jean-Paul Leglaive as Director of QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment) and Sustainable Development. One of his main responsibilities in this role is to develop the CSR strategy for the group, which is firmly committed to an eco-friendly approach.

Joining the strategy department as part of an effort to embed these efforts at the highest levels of the company, Jean-Paul Leglaive will oversee the delivery of an ambitious programme to make DATA4 the gold-standard for QHSE in the data center market.

Jean-Paul Leglaive told us that he is “delighted to be joining DATA4 to support the company at a vital stage in its growth. This new challenge is the logical next step from my previous roles, where I was responsible for improving customer satisfaction (ISO 9001), reducing our energy consumption and environmental impact (ISO 14001 & 50001), and improving the health and safety of all of our stakeholders (ISO 45001) and the security of our information systems (ISO 27001), all as part of DATA4’s Integrated Management System (IMS)”.

Jean-Paul boasts more than 30 years’ experience of implementing QHSE, CSR, and sustainable development strategy for a variety of French SMB and major multinationals in the retail, logistics, services, and industry sectors.

An engineering graduate from ENSCM (National School of Chemistry Montpellier), Jean-Paul began his career in 1990 as a Quality Assurance Manager at the industrial group Arcelor Mittal. In 1993 he moved to Albéa, a packaging company, where he served as a quality manager, before leaving to become Director of QHSE at JPG, the office supplies company, where he stayed for almost ten years. Before joining DATA4 Group, Jean-Paul was Director of QHSE France at Staples, the world leading office retailer, from 2006 to 2020.Olivier Micheli, Chairman of DATA4 Group had this to say: “As the foundation of the digital industry, the data center sector needs to adopt a determined eco-friendly strategy if we are to protect our environment.
