DATA4, one of Europe’s most important players and investors financing, designing, building and operating its own data centers in order to provide secure, scalable and high-performance co-location solutions, is offering customers the possibility to gain access to a rich ecosystem of partners and a comprehensive range of logistic and operating services, including secure connectivity to more than 220 cloud destinations and telecommunications operators.
The marriage between data centers and connectivity is the topic of DATA4’s latest white paper entitled ‘DATACENTER: FROM FORTRESS TO HUB’, which shows how co-location structures, which are the quintessential connectivity-focused hubs, play an increasingly strategic role in responding to the need of businesses to outsource the management of internal workloads, while maintaining solid connection points able to unite the distributed IT model. According to an annual survey on data centers by 451 Research, 72% of those interviewed want interconnection services from their own co-location service provider. This shows that co-location has become crucial to meet the demand for greater connectivity from businesses that are migrating mission-critical activities to remote workplaces (cloud, edge computing, etc.).
As part of the expansion of the connectivity made available by DATA4, TWT, an Italian company with 26 years of experience in telecommunications and a tailor-made service specialist, launched a Point of Presence inside the Cornaredo Campus.
TWT acts as a one-stop source of innovative solutions – including fiber and high-speed connectivity, Voice services, Unified Communication, Cloud, and dedicated and virtual servers – that constantly improve its customers’ business value.
“We’re very happy to host a telecommunications operator the likes of TWT in our Campus,” said Davide Suppia, Country Manager of DATA4 Italia. “It’s another step forward towards the strengthening of our neutral ecosystem of on-site telecommunications operators and provides expanded choices to our customers, who now have the services of TWT available to them.”
The partnership between TWT and DATA4 will expand the co-location service offering, optimising efficiency and quality in order to bring new and increasingly stimulating business opportunities to customers.
In fact, today’s businesses don’t just need simple connection to a data center. They need secure and high-performance solutions that, by integrating network and co-location, accelerate the digital transformation to stay up to speed with the times in a continually evolving market.
“TWT has chosen DATA4, an important point of reference in Italy today, to meet the needs of businesses that want to locate their infrastructure in Tier 4 Data Centers certified to the highest quality and security standards,” commented Alessandra Sponchiado, General Manager of TWT.
“This partnership enables us to integrate DATA4’s co-location service with TWT’s network, which means we can offer customers a complete solution from one source,” concluded the General Manager of TWT.
