Senior Accountant

RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounting of Luxembourg entities

  • Organize, manage and hold responsibility for the bookkeeping of the accounts in Lux GaaP (suppliers, customers, payroll, Income, Opex, Capex etc …) in the accounting system of all Lux companies
  • Validate spending commitments and execute payments
  • Prepare intragroup invoicing (management fees)
  • Responsible for the intragroup loans interest calculation
  • Responsible for the intragroup reconciliation process
  • Responsible to prepare the consolidation reporting package of all Lux companies
  • Execute accurate customer invoicing and the related cash collection
  • Is responsible for VAT returns. Coordinate with CPA CIT returns and specific tax returns.

Financial control of the Luxembourg entities in close interaction with local operational divisions (sales, operations, construction)

  • Monthly monitoring of budget execution (Revenues, COGS, Opex, CAPEX)
  • Execution of budgetary processes (annual budget, quarterly reforecast, Business Plan)
  • Monthly production of performance analysis, dashboards and activity report
  • Active contribution to the optimization of the use of the accounting software, and participation in the automation of the production of dashboards (see previous point)
  • Production of monthly cash flow projections
  • Initiatives to optimize cashflow

General Administration of Luxembourg entities

  • Carrying out analysis and ad-hoc studies, in particular in support of sales management (customer profitability, etc.)
  • Organization of workflows and corporate governance processes (validation, monitoring, control)
  • Establishment and control of payroll management processes.
  • Cash management of the Lux companies : relation with the local bank according to the group policy, payments, cash forecast, cash collection

Compliance, process, tools

  • Key user of the accounting tools (Sage, Youz, Kyriba, Cleemy)
  • Responsible for applying D4 group process and especially SOX process

Other

  • Liaise with the chartered accountants, the external auditors and the Group consolidation team

REQUIREMENTS

Education and experience

  • Master Degree in Business Administration (Business School or University)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting in Lux GaaP
  • Further experience in Financial controlling would be an asset
  • Knowledge of consolidation processes and IFRS

Technical skills

  • Organized and structured to manage quantitative interactions with multiple interlocutors.
  • Solid accounting background
  • Proficient analytical skills
  • Very good command of Excel and Powerpoint
  • Good command of English , both oral and written
  • Proficiency in French would be a plus
