Contract Manager Italy
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Operations Contract Manager is responsible for monitoring and managing contractual relationships with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) subcontractors. Working closely with Operations teams, VCM, and the Group Procurement Manager, they coordinate and oversee the performance of critical OEM suppliers.
They also support the Operations Quality Manager in achieving quality objectives related to the technical performance of critical OEMs, in line with DATA4 policies.
The Operations Contract Manager manages performance indicators and contributes to defining the maintenance strategy together with the Operations teams. The Operations Contract Manager reports directly to the OPS Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Implementation of the OEM Maintenance Policy
- Implement and roll out the OEM maintenance policy in line with the Group strategy
- Coordinate and supervise critical OEM suppliers
- Ensure performance execution aligns with Group strategy, in collaboration with Data4 Facility Managers, the VCM team, and the Group Procurement Manager
- Support the planning of critical maintenance activities
- Monitor technical performance indicators and assess service quality
- Coordinate the technical resources required to achieve quality objectives and propose continuous improvement plans, as well as preventive and corrective actions
OEM Quality and Performance Management
- Monitor performance indicators and contract execution quality
- Prepare annual contract performance reviews with suppliers, in collaboration with the Group Procurement Manager
- Participate in the ongoing evaluation of OEMs regarding health and safety at work, in collaboration with the Italy HSE Manager
Application of Certification Policies
- Prepare, together with suppliers, the documentation required for mandatory DATA4 certifications (ISAE, PCI-DSS, ISO, etc.)
Cost and Process Optimization
- Analyze contract-related budgets and propose optimization actions
- Identify cost-reduction opportunities without compromising service quality
Risk Management
- Anticipate and manage risks related to suppliers and contractual non-compliance
- Ensure continuity of critical services in the event of OEM issues
- Define and maintain emergency plans and crisis management processes
Operational Feedback Management
- Collect operational feedback by OEM and equipment type
- Share operational feedback with the Group Procurement Manager
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with technical teams
- Participate in strategic meetings to ensure alignment between Operations and Construction
- Contribute to defining policies on critical equipment obsolescence and critical spare parts management, in collaboration with the Logistics Manager

REQUIREMENTS
Education and experience
- Significant experience in environments where service continuity is critical
- Technical skills suitable for managing multiple operational areas
- Excellent command of the English language
Technical skills
- Knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, IT networks, physical security, and surveillance
- Ability to manage long-term relationships with suppliers and service providers
- Ability to coordinate and manage root cause analyses in the event of incidents
- Ability to understand customer needs and constraints
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
