Head of Operations Poland
ABOUT THE ROLE
In general, the Head of Operations performs the following missions:
- Managing operations in Poland
- The main warrantor of the quality of service rendered to Customers in Poland, especially in terms of continuity of service.
- Responsible for the technical and security management of the Data Center area
- Monitoring the operating budget of non-construction sites: responsible for the financial management of operating costs (COGS and Capex of Maintenance) in accordance with the budget and internal rules of the company in budget terms
- Monitoring and execution of the company’s H&S and environment policy and monitoring its proper application with stakeholders (suppliers, subcontractors, visitors, customers…)
- Coordinating the various internal and outsourced activities and services of the sites
- Ensure that regulatory controls are in place and monitored in accordance with applicable regulations including ICPE
- Management of on-call schedules
- In coordination with the Senior Management, arbitration and reallocation of resources according to the company’s objectives and strategy

RESPONSIBILITIES
CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP
- Assists the Sales team in the negotiation phase when necessary
- Ensures that customer requests are taken into account during the Delivery phase and then during the Operational phase (work, services, audits…)
- Participates in quarterly steering meetings (strategic committees…)
- Helps clients with their certification process, audits… in relation with the CSM team
- Is the preferred contact of the Strategic Customer Operations Managers (Local Data Center Operations Director)
TECHNICAL MISSION
- Monitors and manages maintenance and improvement work (refurbishment works..)
- In relation to the Facility Management Company and the Group GPOs, ensure the improvement and the good implementation of Operations Processes (Change, Incident, Asset, Maintenance..)
- Participates in maintenance contract negotiations
- Define and ensure the good implementation of the Operations Road Map
- Responsible for technical incident management with the possible assistance of technical experts
- Periodically organize and follow drills on crisis situation to verify the adequacy of the procedures and the level of control of the facilities by the teams
- Ensure the good implementation of the local Operations BCP and ensure yearly update
- Monitoring the evolution of the ICPE/regulations rules and setting up controls on it
- Responsible for the Risk Management Processes of the Campus
- Responsible for the deployment of the Physical Security Policy
- Define and ensure the good implementation of the Physical Security Road Map
- Assist to Monthly Security Steering Committee to ensure the
- Ensure the duty-keeping of the Marcoussis site and, in this context, acquire sufficient control of all the facilities allowing it to:
- Piloting curative interventions effectively
- Communicating with affected customers
- Ensure the necessary internal reporting
- Ensure the Quality of Services delivered by the Services Team
- Ensure the good local implementation of the Energy Efficient Plan defined by the Energy Manager
- Provides the design team with feedback from day-to-day operations to improve design
- Validate the Hand Over of any new Data Centers
FINANCIAL MISSION
- Participate to the Budget Exercise in relation with the Country Manager for the COGS, Energy Restant à charge, Operational CAPEX
- Ensure the compliance of the costs versus the budget
- Assist the finance team in the Monthly Budget Follow up
- Part of the Financial Validation Process according to the Matrix of signature
- Support the finance team for any questions related to Costs
RESPONSABILITES IN THE INTEGRE MANAGEMENT SYSTEME (SMI)
As Head of Operations for Poland, he/she ensures the good and regular supervision of the R4 «Maintenance in Operational Conditions» .
They also ensure the availability of both internal and external teams at the various meetings and audits necessary to maintain the company’s certifications.
RESPONSABILITES IN ISO 45001 ON THE DATACENTER OPERATIONS
- Manage HS issues daily and from an operational point of view
- Participate in the analysis of HS risks
- Implement the IMS action program for year N
- Follow, sign and control the implementation and signature of the necessary prevention plans
- Report on any difficulties
- Monitor malfunctions if they exist, follow up on action plans and measure effectiveness
- Be a force of proposal for any improvement
REQUIREMENTS
Education and experience
- Significant experience in areas in data center industry or in critical environment
- Technical knowledge to pilot the various fields involved.
- Fluent in English
Technical skills
- Knowledge of electricity, air conditioning, computer networks, security, security
- Ability to manage a long-term relationship with suppliers/providers
- Ability to coordinate and manage root cause search in the event of an incident
- Ability to listen to customer needs and constraints
- Strong People Management skills
- Good Strategic decision-making skills
- Good understanding of safety and fire safety standards and procedures
- Knowledge of key providers in the security/security market
- Good knowledge of ISO standards and in particular ISO 27001
