PMO Lead Design & Construction

ABOUT THE ROLE

Within the Technical Department in charge of designing and building Data Center campuses, reporting to the Chief Technical Officer within the „Center of Excellence“ unit, the PMO Lead is responsible for managing strategic projects to support the company’s transformation. They will support management in implementing strategic orientations and managing complex, cross-functional projects.

The PMO Lead is responsible for monitoring and orchestrating the company’s strategic projects/programs in order to control the stakes, deadlines, schedules and budgets. The role is both strategic and operational.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of cross-functional strategic projects/programs
  • Management of the scoping, study and implementation phases
  • Leading operational and/or strategic steering committees
  • Coordinating the various stakeholders and partners involved in the project
  • Change management for operational teams
  • Implementation of methodology and „PMO / Strategic Projects“ tools within the department
  • Risk assessment and escalation if necessary
  • Performance management and reporting: monitoring KPIs, budget, schedule, progress, risks, etc.
  • Internal promotion/communication of strategic projects
  • Raising awareness and training all D&C teams and partners in the PMO methodology, industrialization, etc., to develop a culture of Lean management.

Projects in which the PMO Lead could be involved include (but are not limited to) :

  • Definition of the Technical Department’s processes and their deployment across the Platform (Europe) as part of the Data4 Build project. They will be assisted by business and process experts.
  • Implementation of IT tools in collaboration with other Group entities (e.g. ERP, telephony, etc.) – as part of the Data4 Build project.
  • Strategic projects launched within the company (internalization/externalization of certain functions, organizational changes, etc.).
  • Operational management of the industrialization of the technical department known as „SMS“: (standardization, massification (scaling), simplification) in coordination with the departments involved, such as Finance, Procurement, Delivery, etc.
  • Internal process review and improvement projects.

RESPONSIBILITES IN TERMS OF IMS CERTIFICATIONS

  • Energy: Respect and enforce the policy of reducing energy consumption.

REQUIREMENTS

Education and experience

  • Higher education with at least 10 years‘ experience in managing large-scale strategic projects, particularly digital projects, for large/medium-sized companies in an international context.

Technical skills

  • Experience in conducting complex studies and projects, particularly in construction/infrastructure.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification (mandatory).
  • Project/program management, preferably in the field of new technologies.
  • Ability to understand business challenges and grasp technical/technological/digital and organizational topics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Project, and JIRA.
  • Ability to work simultaneously on several projects
  • PRINCE2 or PMP methodologies.
  • Fluent English is a must.
