{"id":18472,"date":"2023-10-11T13:49:10","date_gmt":"2023-10-11T11:49:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.data4group.com\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=18472"},"modified":"2023-11-23T15:11:08","modified_gmt":"2023-11-23T14:11:08","slug":"sales-engineer-2","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/www.data4group.com\/it\/?post_type=job_listing&p=18472","title":{"rendered":"Sales Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Sales Engineer (SE) is the support of the sales team on opportunities that require its expertise.<\/p>\n<p>The SE is part of the Sales Engineering team to support the Sales team in providing technical inputs to pre-sales activities, The SE will be involved throughout the whole lead-to-contract process and ensuring that designed solutions can be installed and managed during the life of the contract<\/p>\n<p>The SE Works closely with sales teams to earn new business and maintain existing customer relationships<\/p>\n<p>The SE works closely with the Technical Department to propose and validate tailor-made offers in line with customer requirements.<\/p>\n<h2>RESPONSIBILITIES<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead technical tours and presentations detailing Data4 datacenter colocation<\/li>\n<li>Produce Statements of Works suitable for third party partners to produce accurate pricing for customer proposals.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that documentation on standard products is available to sales teams (descriptions of technical services, pricing conditions, standard contract \u2013 SLA, penalties, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Response to complex and strategic RFI\/RFP :<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>o Constitution of the technical offer of responses to RFI\/RFP in order to respond to customers&#8217; technical compliance &amp; requirements<\/p>\n<p>o Liaise with internal stakeholders, including Design\/ Construction &amp;Engineering, Service Operations and Delivery \u00a0teams to ensure designed solutions meet customer needs whilst adhering to defined standards<\/p>\n<p>o Consolidation of costs concerning the &#8220;standard&#8221; offers of projects in order to allow salespeople to make the offer to the customers<\/p>\n<p>o Knowledge of the Data4 product and services portfolio in order to promote the offer within the Sales Department and to customers<\/p>\n<p>o Be a force of bringing froward proposals for customers in order to direct them towards Data4 standard service offerings<\/p>\n<p>o Be a source of suggestions for customers in order to direct them towards Data4 standard service offerings<\/p>\n<p>o Attend customer presentations to support the Company&#8217;s offerings by promoting its offerings and valuing its solutions compared to those of its competitors.<\/p>\n<p>o Assist sales teams in the negotiation of the most significant or specific contracts in order to improve sales (e.g. validation of drawings\/rack layout).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide ongoing support and control relevant post-sales activities, theses may include all follow-up pre-sales activities.<\/li>\n<li>Support Design\/ Construction &amp;Engineering Team by providing customer insight into future design workshops.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Constant Technical Watch:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Technical monitoring on data centers (Cooling, Electrical, etc.) to ensure that Data4 assets are always state of the art according to new customer needs<\/li>\n<li>Be a force of proposal vis-a-vis the Technical Department in order to be able to propose innovative solutions and requested by customers (Design, operations, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Creation of technical arguments to enhance Data4 technology solutions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Diverse<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Support our customers in the evangelization and proper use of Data4 tools and services (ex: customer portal)<\/li>\n<li>To be a force of proposal in the improvement of the organization in order to improve efficiency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2>REQUIREMENTS<\/h2>\n<h3>Education and experience<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Preferably engineering degree (BAC+5)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Technical skills<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Electrical, Mechanical, Network or Operational data centre experience is essential<\/li>\n<li>Experience of data centre design, business critical infrastructure management<\/li>\n<li>Ability to listen and answer customer questions accurately<\/li>\n<li>Ability to learn and apply technical and business concepts quickly<\/li>\n<li>Ability to present offers to customers<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a team<\/li>\n<li>Ability to respond\/write to customer offers<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of competing offers<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of AutoCAD and Visio tools<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>\u00a0Soft skills<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Teamwork<\/li>\n<li>Motivation to find the best solution for the customer while remaining within the standards of data 4 (in order to be able to support the customer in the long term).<\/li>\n<li>Good written and oral expression (Spanish &amp;
