Investment Manager (H/F)
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Investment Manager is an integral part of Data4’s Investment team. This team sets the growth and funding strategy of the group. To achieve its growth, the company engages in greenfield acquisitions as well as M&A to build out new data center assets/campuses and executing on follow-up investments at existing locations. The funding strategy covers both debt and equity funding of multiple sources.
As such, the position sits at the heart of the company and the role offers the opportunity to work directly with a variety of senior members of the management team. The role assists with strategic decision making in the company structurally (business planning) and ad-hoc as required.
The successful candidate will be a self- starter that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication skills, is detailed oriented, possesses a high degree of intellectual curiosity, is business savvy, and has a strong finance/valuations foundation.
The Investment Manager reports directly to the Chief Investment Officer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Funding Strategy:
- Develop and implement corporate financing strategy, in conjunction with Brookfield
- Participate in corporate acquisitions and department selldown activities, including leading various workstreams
- Structure joint-ventures to further expand the firm’s reach and/or de-risk growth opportunities
Growth Strategy:
- Underwriting investment opportunities (greenfield and brownfield)
- Preparing marketing materials for both internal and external use
- Ownership of DD workstreams
- Ownership of complex financial analysis and valuations with regards to M&A opportunities
Corporate Strategy:
- Involvement in and drafting of materials to discuss corporate strategy with the Executive Committee and Board of Directors
- Ownership of the business plan model
- Ad-hoc analyses

REQUIREMENTS
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, finance, or a related field
- 5-10 years relevant experience
- Banking background ideally with Private Equity, Infrastructure or Real Estate experience
Skills
- Excellent analytical, financial modelling and valuation skills, ideally with a real estate and/or corporate focus
- Project planning and self-management skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a very fast paced and team-oriented environment
- Meticulous attention to detail is essential
- Fluency in English and French. Another European language is an asset
- Proficiency in full suite of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Problem solving and analytical skills
